I just talked to S&W today, asking if they sell the OEM threaded barrels separately (when I bough my Victory pistol, the threaded barrel version was impossible to find). Barrels are a user-replaceable item on the Victory pistol. The report direct from S&W is that these barrels are for sale, or will be, for $59. But there are none in stock at the moment. This is much cheaper than the Volquartsen threaded barrels, which are $215 for the carbon fiber one, $327 for the stainless one. My OEM non-threaded barrel is very accurate, but I would like a threaded one, well, just because. The addition of a TandemKross compensator on the end of the Victory barrel would reduce muzzle jump, not that muzzle jump is much of a problem with a .22LR. However, in direct side-by-side comparison with a Buckmark Hunter (7-1/2" non-compensated barrel) using identical ammunition, the Victory did have a little more muzzle jump (due to it's shorter 5-1/2" barrel probably). Both pistols have heavy barrel profiles. The S&W Victory is an excellent .22LR pistol BTW. I highly recommend it.
