That was funny. He does not consider that most people here already have their own plans and ideas of what is coming and have already done the work that they felt needed to be done long ago. If he thinks prepping is a waste of time then why is he even bothering with his property. He contradicted many of his statements in his first post with his second post. A guy shows up here and makes one post and everyone is supposed to fall down in front of him and worship whatever he may say? What an ass. If what he offers is genuine and he deeds his land to them they will probably throw him out. LMAO

First he calls himself a doctor and then a psychologist. A psychologist is not an MD a psychiatrist is an MD. He appears awfully angry for someone that is used to working with the human mind and changing their actions and beliefs.

Grimm loves a snack of troll. I suggest that admin let her know that the table is set.

To be fair, he said he was a doctor...not an MD. Psychologists can have a PsyD, which is a doctor of psychology, which is what my wife hopes to have one day. This is similar to when I (hopefully) finish my PhD in engineering. I will be a doctor...of philosophy in engineering.

For the record, I'm as skeptical about his offer as others here.

We had a church "Member" that wanted to donate a recreational lot in a RV park to the church. Church Board was already figuring how to spend the money from selling the lot ASAP before they even accepted the offer. One Board Member wondered out loud if the lot had any property taxes or fees associated with it. A Committee was appointed to make some inquires and report back at next Board meeting, which the Committee did. Turns out the lot had outstanding maintenance fees which were more then what the lot was worth. Church Board turned down the "Member's" offer. "Member" was unloading his debt to the church and would write off the donation on his taxes. Win win for the "Member".

Free 5 acres partial improved. Wonder what the outstanding taxes, liens or mortgage payments are? My interpretation of the Posters reply is a liability is attached to the "free" property.

P.S. "Member" His name was on the church membership but no one recalled every seeing him attend a single service nor tithe. His name was removed from the membership roll.

True, but that still doesn't explain his apparent anger and striking out at people he is advertising with. I would expect someone of his claimed education to express himself differently.

OK, I'm the slow one here.
I got stuck on the thread title "Free Farm For Sale". How is something for sale if it's free?
Isn't that like stores saying "Free Gift!"? Ummm, aren't gifts always free?
No such thing as free, they just have better lube.

Yes. Imagine him having a patient who disagreed with him. He would just proceed to insult the client. Why?

His narcissism doesn't allow anyone to disagree with him, because that means they doubt him and his ability. He views himself as all knowing and smarter than anyone else, so when a few people he has never communicated with before challenges him, his feelings are hurt, and his only tactic is to throw insults, as though he is all knowing and we have character weaknesses, whatever that really means. Now if someone had praised him and told him how wonderful he was, his chest would have puffed out, and he would thought that person was wonderful, because they didn't question him, but put their trust in him.

Did you know that many criminals are narcissists? Most sex offenders are narcissists.

Ya know what Weedy just described?

A liberal college professor. They have ‘Doctorates’ also. All knowing, always right and quick to put someone down that contradicts them or they feel is beneath them.

I had a buddy in North Carolina who ran a concession at Duke University Law School. He got to know quite a few of them. He would have dad berls and other events and invite some over. They have a very, very different view of the world.

They live in Academia not the real world. Most of their needs are met by the University, housing, utilities, even vehicles in some cases. They rarely leave ‘campus’ so have a limited real-life view of what the outside world is like. Even if they leave campus it is to go to an event, restaurant (in the “campus” part of town) or shopping it is with other professors. They are like a community unto themselves. If they have tenure they are pretty much king of the hill… In their own minds.

It really is incredible to talk with them. They have a perfect Socialist view of the world because that is what they live. Everything the far-Left Democrats are preaching now? That is how they feel. You could not tell them otherwise because they knew better.

I kept reading and re-reading his post trying to figure out what was actually there. All I could glean from his post is this:
"Existing cabin has pool, spa." There might have been tools and a shed but it didn't say that for sure. The rest was envisioned and/or possible.
It didn't sound like he made much progress in seven years. He also stated "Can generate income from produce, herbs sold at weekend street fairs." I have to question the amount of income that one could generate that way. I really doubt that would generate enough to pay the yearly taxes. I will say that all he mentioned could be done on five acres if the funds for materials were available. I saw no mention of livestock so I'm guessing a vegetarian lifestyle would be in order and I hope that you are good at gardening or you may starve.

I just remembered where I had seen that post before or something similar.
The guy before wanted somebody else to do the work, invest all your money then when time to turn over land.
Have you run off land by the law.
Nothing was ever in writing.
Also many liens against property from people whom had been defrauded.
It got to the point people were suing for more than the property was worth.
It was also questioned s to whether he was a Physologist.
Went back to one of the older sites used to belong too.
Kept looking till I found it, believe it was in December 2015.
Wording is almost word for word, even his reaction was almost word for word.
Call me skeptical but if I had land, I'm thinking my priorities would be slightly different.
Shelter- house
Well for water
Garden- for food
Fencing to keep livestock in or out depending on point of view.
I personally don't need or want pool, before I had garden.

We knew there was more to his story. He thinks he is smarter than the rest of the world and he gets people to do what he wants, on their dime and time, and then has a rotating doorway for his suckers. I'll bet he is as critical and nasty as can be with everyone.

This is very similar to a situation of a duplex across the street from me. A man bought up many properties for rentals decades ago. His daughter inherited all of them, including the two story brick duplex. The first I heard about her was that she was a millionaire, but not a nice person. Well, that isn't what it used to be (millionaire), but she should never have to worry about money. She would get people to live in this property in exchange for them doing X amount of work on it and then they will own the property, lease to purchase or some craziness and probably paid a normal rent as well. Every few months, there would be a new person in the property, while the previous person was evicted. Years of this happened.

Her name and number were on the garage. One of the tenants had a party that was so loud that people from blocks away wondered what was going on. I called her to inform her. She was as nasty as a rattlesnake. Years go by and one day I walk by with a friend, and she is out front, introduces herself and we go in to look at the property. She was so full of her narcissistic self. "People in the United States are horrible." She moved to Thailand where people are "wonderful." She talked about how everyone hates her, people gang up on her. I told her something about some aspect of how difficult she was and she was sure someone had told me about her. I told her that I had my experience with her. She wanted to know if something was going on, except she didn't. She was probably as narcissistic as the "Doctor" with the free property. I have lived in my home for almost 29 years and she just recently sold the duplex.

Narcissists are always smarter than everyone else(they think), manipulative, and have the upper hand, so they can work someone to death and then turn on them like the snakes they are.

hm. When we were young...we contacted a guy who had a house out on a few acres. He wanted renters and would keep the cost low if the husband of the renters would help him with some masonry and gardening. He was maybe in his 60s, single, and had a greenhouse, chickens, huge garden area, fruit trees, a couple cows, doves, I don't remember what else. By the time we were supposed to vacate the premises of where we were living, NH had helped the guy finish the masonry project, done some of the garden work, and the guy decides he's not going to rent. Basser. I found an ad he created for a female to come live with him, all expenses paid...yadda yadda yah. What a creep. I bet somebody got a shock if not a punch in the face.

Not saying it's the same guy.
But just saying wording pretty darn close.
The other guy wanted like minded people to basically live in commune.
They did all the work for nothing.
And if you disagreed with owner of land, you were gone.
Period.
Last I heard he was arrested and charged with pyramid scheme.
While he was in the pokey, his former slaves went in and took their stuff.
Irrigation system gone.
Green houses gone
Capped the wells with rubble and cement.
Moved their homes on trucks.
removed the orchards those left on trailers.
When he got out of pokey, he had the shack he started with minus the roof, bathroom.
When he reported that he had been robbed, local law enforcement just laughed in his face.
Everything that was taken had a receipt with the correct owners names on it.
You reap what you sow.
Buddy of mine (local law enforcement officer) helped load part of that stuff.
Valuable lesson learned by all.
Buy your own land.

I think many of us have had lessons the hard way. I think that sooner or later, people like this get what they have earned, especially when they get to meet their maker. I am sure your hubby should have been paid some money, but these manipulators figure out ways to get people to do the work for free. Use one person up, then on to the next.

I was a member of a shooting club. A newly joined member said, "Hey, my wife owns all this property why don't the club relocate there?" Club Officers looked over the land, put the relocation idea up for membership vote. Yes, we moved. Property Owner and husband was added to the Officers membership with the understand that ALL Officer's had to be unanimous agreement on operations, changes and additions.

Club spent a boat load of money and donated labor to rebuild at the new location. All went well for the first few years, membership grew along with expansion of offerings. Then the Husband of the property started "borrowing" the Club's checkbook "for club expenses" that the club hadn't approved. Club stopped depositing money into the checking account. Husband responded by telling the other Officers that the club was no longer welcomed on "his" property...unless the Officers resigned, then the membership could stay and continue to participate. Husband told the membership that nothing has changed other then the name of the club.

Husband has another batch of unpaid volunteers running the club, maintaining and make improvements to the property. Husband is smiling all the way to his bank.
