Summarized from several comments on LDS prepper posts on Facebook- the situations in Texas have farmers selling their cattle. No surprise to us there. Lines to the livestock auction were 3 miles long, hours of waiting, and not finished to 3 am. What caught my attention was that slaughterhouses can’t accommodate, and much will be going to compost.
It’s already been shared, different posts, that it would take nearly 2 years, to raise up beef to market.
Like having your firewood or heat ahead of time, now might be a good time to reconsider the meat supply if you plan on eating meat.
