Love SPAM as well as all the other tinned mystery meats. My favorite those is canned corned beef done as corned beef hash, but then I also like fried bologna for breakfast. No accounting for taste.

Fried SPAM, hash brown and fried eggs makes a good breakfast

    Love fried bologna!!
    It's weird to fry.
The middle of the circular slice likes to bump up when it's cooking.
Just smash it down with a spatula.

That's why we always cut 4 slits into it.so it won't bubble up.

My husband likes fried bologna and pepper jack. To keep it from bubbling up in the center he contaminates the bacon press.

When it comes to bologna, it is possible that I have never bought any or eaten any since I have been an adult and rarely as a child. I am not trying to be a snob, it is just one of those things that has all kinds of mystery ingredients and the potential for causing a migraine.

I love spam and fried bologna. When I was a kid bologna came in a 10lb stick. You would order from the store keeper… a pound, 2 pounds, what every you needed and slice it thin at home. In fact, stick bologna can still be purchased…

    https://www.walmart.com/ip/Bar-S-Classic-Bologna-5-Lb/10290761

As far as spam goes… I like the single serve foil packets…

    https://www.walmart.com/ip/SPAM-Classic-Single-Lunch-Meat-2-5-oz-Pouch/10290944

The other night for dinner I did something unusual…

I took a single serve foil packet of spam and diced it into 1/4 inch pieces…

I was having a big garden salad for dinner, even fried up fresh bacon for bits, fresh tomato and the good cheese/garlic croutons from the store.

I tossed the spam bits in the deep fryer… 2 minutes later I had Spam fried with a golden crust. That went on the salad also with shredded cheese. Yummy!

I wonder if you could freeze it, maybe after you slice it up? I could see having it sliced up with waxed paper or parchment paper in between slices and kept in gallon zip bags in the freezer. Get out what you want or need. What would be the shelf life in a refrigerator?

I like bologna sandwiches. When you fry bologna just make a single cut from the center to the edge and it won't curl up.
My Dad hated bologna because when the family moved from Oklahoma to Washington in the 40s all they could afford to eat was bologna sandwiches and he hated them.
Some race tracks are famous for their fried bologna burgers. One driver ate 16 of them on one race day.

At one point in time I went to a headache clinic, due to the debilitating migraines. I went through an evaluation process. I was given a list of foods to avoid that are migraine triggers. One of the things that I learned is that the main cause of migraines is mold. Food that is 5 days old is growing mold, even if you cannot see it. It is recommended for migraine sufferers to avoid food that is that old, and the recommendation is 3 days old at the most. Food that is laden with chemicals may have a longer shelf life because of the preservatives. When we buy meat that has preservatives, such as bacon, ham and other preserved meats, the preservatives do extend the shelf life. I do eat bacon and ham, and am careful about how long it has been in the fridge, especially after it is cooked. Ham is the one I watch, but bacon in a package, at least in my experience needs to be cooked very soon after the package is opened, or the uncooked bacon will grow mold. There is a bacon that comes in a 3 pound package that I like because it is thick sliced, so I always have bacon in the package after I first cook it that goes back in the fridge. I have to be careful or it will get moldy before I cook and eat it.

I think that is what I should do when I open a package of bacon, fry it all up at once. My challenge is that I may eat it all up in one day.

My migraine triggers were STRESS, dry red wines, sharp or smoked cheeses, and the combination of nicotine and caffeine in excess. Once I got my diet in control the migraines came within days of the full or new moon. That was not fair!
I was so glad when I stopped having migraines because I could finally sit down and enjoy a glass of Merlot and some sharp cheese.

My dad use to fry it for breakfast on weekends.

You make a slice in it from the middle to the edge and that stops it humping up.
Here it's called devon roll or Strasburg.

Love Spam, tinned corned beef and tinned ham.
Dads family went through the famine in Europe during and after WW2.
You didn't get to be fussy in our household.

We didn't either. Both parents grew up in the great depression. Fussing or refusing to eat something would have gotten us removed from the table and sent to bed. After I left home, the amount of people who were and are so fussy about food was really surprising to me. I guess that many have never had a choice. I know people who fuss about the most minute things about food. My youngest cousin on one side was born on the day JFK was shot. She will still not eat the crust on bread.

I have sliced up a devon/strasberg log and froze it.
It didn't affect the flavor or texture. Mind you i just throw frozen slices straight into the
    Air fryer.
It's not something I eat raw.
