Looks like this is a good group to join. Retired from 34 yrs in law enforcement, in 2001. Have also farmed all my life. Sold my last 80 acres this year. Still farming it, for the new owners, for this year. Basically am down to one acre that my home sets on. Always grew export grade hay.
Am 78 yrs old, at least for another 60 days or so. Widowed for several years, after more than 55 yrs married.
Grow a decent size garden, and sell mainly root crops. Biggest seller would be beets.
Have a nice motor home and get away as often as possible. Getting educated by a new pup, he is ten months old.
That's about the size of things. Thanks for letting me join. Have a great day!

Hello and welcome from S.W. Oregon, just like here in Oregon, there are good areas to live in and some that you would want to avoid like the plague. Thankfully the sheriff's down here appreciate armed citizens, especially those with CCW licenses. I grew up in Kitsap county just outside of Bremerton and spent some time living in Seattle, I'm very happy not to be living in or near big cities, it's nice to have a garden and fruit and nut trees.

Hello from Utah!

Welcome from Bama... cotton is the main crop in these parts, and cattle. Had more than my fair share of both. Youngsters run the show now but they keep an old toy or two around for me to play with... You'll fit right in.

I have one of those 4020's too. Also have a 53 model 70 and a 730 diesel. Bought them all new, would not trade any of them for a new one. Also have a Kubota, small one about 21 hp. Guess it must be close to ten yrs old now.
