Hemp is okay, but I want a house made from ANTIFA face masks and defunct anti-gun pamphlets.

When farmers can make more money growing hemp than for growing corn and beans, they will grow it...

Hey Spike, it was just on local news here in West KY, Murray KY , they are making lumber from hemp

They showed the new factory and demoed the lumber ...looks just like lumber but darker color.
Many farmers in my area have already started growing it.
    Replacing KY tobbaco.

It's gonna be a big money maker in our area.

During WWII many farmers grew hemp for the war effort in my area. The volunteer seeds from that hemp still grow in fence lines and ditches. The kids call it Ditchweed or Ropeweed and a few brave souls try and dry it and smoke it. They are rewarded with headaches for their efforts but no buzz...

You see ditchweed growing in many places, if you know to look for it. I knew a couple guys who went out by the river in Kansas City and harvested some big plants. It has never been my thing, but I have heard that ditchweed is not worth its time. I have driven around in the back roads of Nebraska, looking for cemeteries and relatives graves and have seen plenty of ditchweed there. You still see ditchweed in many places there, but I am sure Roundup has been used on lots of it.

Yes, hemp used to be grown as a crop during WWII. My grandfather had a big heavy rope in his tool shed that was made of some fiber, and I have since wondered if it was made from hemp.
