Today we had the first calf born on the property. Mama appears to be doing a good job this is her first calf. In about a week will move them to a new area. didn't want to change the feed up right at this moment they've been on Hay all winter. I didn't know if swap into fresh grass could cause any problem so I didn't want to try this close to birth..

We bought two heifers a few years ago then got a bull calf 2 years later after the girls were old enough to calve safely and now our first calf. The two original girls are now actually a little old to be just having first calves. IIRC they will be four come July. Some things are worth waiting for!
