Homemade Tangle-Free Trotline Organizer

I've been on the river a lot over the summer, and threw a few tantrums over tangled trotlines. I think I've come up with a genius idea (if I say so myself)..... Been using this for the last half of the summer without any issues / tangles. Maybe this will help someone else......

What do you know, I was already subscribed to your YouTube channel. I think I found it when I was looking for bacon curing recipes.

I have never heard of or used trot lines. I grew up doing a lot of fishing, but haven't done any in years. I do have a bunch of fishing gear.

It's illegal in some states ..like was mentioned in above comments,(California, Oregon,Wash...etc..), but very popular and legal in the "flyover states".

Even tho trot lines are illegal if there ever is a SHTF situation they would be good to have.

They are legal in parts of NM. Have to make sure of where your at to stay out of trouble.

I'm convinced that the only reason trot lining would be illegal, is the fact that you can fish and get a good night's sleep at the same time. I'm too old to be staying up all night watching a pole.
