I don't us Wi-Fi, I just plug the cable into the computer. The wife gets internet as part of her phone. I remember when Google got caught sending vans around and hacking into peoples Wi-Fi.

My WiFi is so secure I sometimes can't get in.
I also live it the country and I seriously doubt the illegals next door could hack in. Mostly because they don't speak English.
My son lived in an apartment complex and several people there had their WiFi totally open. Their reasoning was they thought the cable company was making too much money so they would cut into their profits by giving people free access. That was in Seattle so it's not surprising.
