I don’t have pics to back it up but that hound will climb anything the worst is when he trees up widow makers I don’t know how many trees I’ve shimmy up to get him out also pulled him from a cave or two and many holes when a coon would den up under ground There is a third dog down in the hole of this picture View attachment 69914
Absolutely brother! True blessings!I have no doubt! I know what a faithful and talented dog will do for it's master, and for their own pleasure. Dogs are amazing gifts and blessings from our God! (IMHO)
Anytime brother mid-December- January / February are best. Summer time I just hunt enough to keep the dogs in shape. Usually early morning. 02-05That area on one of my bucket list hunts. Mainly become of where the red fern grows I’ll have to look you up when that day comes

That's ok with me. I'm a carnivore through and through. But I do love squash , okra , spinach and kale salad etc. With Blue cheese dressing or crumbles. So far Hubby and Pa are still vegetarians

Good looking hounds brother!2nd tree of the night none of these tracks where easy , it's dry and tracking conditions are horrible about 800 yds on the first one and the second one was a little over a mile
Since some of you bow hunt... A buddy (since navy days) makes bows and bow hunts. I talked to him last week and he was getting all his gear ready for the season. Remembered this photo... Don't ask me the woods he uses, don't remember.

Thanks brotherGood looking hounds brother!
I wouldn't have guessed that Osage orange would be good for that. It's really crooked and gnarly and it seasons super hard, which makes it great for fence posts. But then again, I know very little about wooden bows...Just a guess, but if bet he uses Osage Orange. Highly prized wood for bows and many other things.
I wish it grew where I live. If I had a fence to build every corner would be Osage hedge wood...Best fence post there are IMO. But from different videos and stuff I've read it is used for bow making to. But I bet it is hard to work.
