When we first moved here, there were a lot of bad sheriffs around, I knew one and thankfully we got along, some of those sheriffs didn't like competition of their drug operations and from time to time we'd hear of drug growers or sellers disappearing. Now days sheriffs are getting flack from the bad guys and need community support, funny how things change.
