Anything.
I can't sneeze around our cat without her making fussing noises and looking at me like she thinks I'm going to explode. I don't even sneeze that loud.

The cat makes funny noises if I say her name while she watches wildlife out the window. I found out most cats make this noise while watching birds.

When we start saying goodbye to one another the dog will bark.

When we all start cleaning at the same time (as happened earlier today), the cat will hide and the dog will run around observing.

When we call out for evening prayer the dog will get her bone and lie down and chew on it. She gets upset if she can't find it.

I like to play laser pointer with either animal. The cat will act like she's too cool to do it after a couple of minutes.

I've had to change my morning routine for a rooster in one of our chicken runs. I usually through on my coat over my bathrobe, then put on my muck boots and go out to feed all the chickens and turkeys in the morning. Then I let the dogs out of their kennels (inside) and then take a shower and get ready for work. Husband bought me a new robe for Christmas. It is not white like the last one, it's purple/blue. The rooster (a year old Rhode Island Red) totally goes into attack me mode if I go into that run with it on.
It's always fun when someone pulls up into our driveway....the 3 dogs bark, the roosters crow, and the turkeys gobble. Better than a doorbell.

About once an hour, almost like clockwork, one or two of the Rotties will get up and walk around the house like they are on patrol. She will look out windows, check on doors, sniff around, listen and then go back to their beds and lie down. Two of them do this regularly around the clock. The third one however will just wait until everyone is in bed, then go sit in the hallway where most of the bedroom doors are and just sit there listening for 5-10 minutes. Then she will usually just lay down right there for the night. If anyone gets up at night to use the restroom, that dog is going to escort them there and back.

My dog is pretty standard:

Can't go to the bathroom without the dog wanting to come along.

She takes off when I pull out a gun. She knows it's going to hurt her ears.

Can't ride or drive anything except the tractor without her giving me a boo face denoting she wants to ride along.

If any adult grabs a kid, especially in anger, the dog is right on the adult and may grab your arm.

If the dogs bark the cat will run over to see what's going on.
She thinks she is a dog.
When my wife puts her coat on one of the dogs starts barking like crazy because he wants to go with her.
We had a dog that would go ballistic every time there was a storm.
He would not stop until we let him out and he would get under the deck and wait out the storm.
That same dog and the cats would have nothing to do with each other.
Then I noticed one of the cats started to lay by him and even head rub him.
He started having problems and we found out he had cancer.
I really think the cat knew.

The only time my dogs ever reacted was if I was talking directly to them.
If we were going someplace and got ready the dogs would watch but never get excited or express a desire to go with... Unless I asked them if they wanted to go. BAM! they were up and sitting at my side. I would tell them to get the leash and they would go to the kitchen pick their leash off the wall and come back, sit down with the leash in their mouth. Once the leash was on they would wait for me to go out the door and then follow right behind. When I said, "GO PLAY" they were off like rockets! They would run all over making sure I was in view the whole time. If I hid from them they would come find me and sit down beside me. A simple "OK" was all they needed to hear to resume their play. If there was water near by that is where they headed first. The weather didn't matter to them they loved the water. I was scolded by a woman once for "forcing" my dogs to go in the water - it was winter and right around freezing. When I told them to go play they both headed for the water and she thought I was being cruel. I should tell you that those dogs were Norwegian Elkhounds and were never wet or cold unless I was giving them a bath with soap. Even after being in the lake swimming around their skin was warm and dry. Their coats were completely waterproof without soap involved.

My wife's small dog (27lbs) has a thing about laying on her back and playing with her toys. The dog NEVER lays on her back, will not roll over to have her belly rubbed, will not lay on her back when she's sleeping, etc. But give her a toy and she will hold it with her hands, roll onto her back and hold it while playing or chewing on it.

When I try to sweep, the dog attacks the broom bristles, barking and growling, quite a game.
One of our sons and my NH were discussing weapons one day, which lead to examination of subject. When the dog saw the subject she was very concerned and we had to separate her from the area. We got her when she was probably 6 weeks old. She's never been taken out where we'd use that item. Really weird. She did not like it and was nearly in attack mode.

My house rabbit, Rabbit, does not like loud noises. I have a friend who sometimes will make a sudden loud noise to tease me or in the middle of a story, and Rabbit makes a beeline under my bed. In a bit, he will come out to see what it was all about.

Today there was a lightning strike very nearby, NH said it sounded like a gunshot. Dog practically went straight up off the floor it scared her so bad. Normally, she's fine with thunderstorms.
Every time the doorbell rings or someone that doesn't live here comes in, the cat runs and hides in my room. Once she hears it is a certain person, she will come out, but she never acts like she really LIKES this person. LOL

I used to have a very large dog, and she was scared to death of lightning. I was terrified of it myself and would go sit on the stairs because all the other rooms had windows and I would sit on the stairs praying that I would live through this one. She would come and sit next to me and put her head on my lap. She comforted me, but this is when she was younger. Then when she got older she was scared of it herself.

Wife's indoor cats. They run over each other trying to get to the basement as fast as they can. A few seconds later I can hear a car coming up our driveway.

When we come home the cats greet us at the door. If they don't then I'll know there is trouble in the house.

The sound of the vacum scares my dog.so she avoids it with a passion while it's in use.but it's a all new ball game, when i get the cord layed to roll back up.that's when she'll race to one part of it.and play atack it.then to another part of it to attack it.she runs back n forth attacking untill i get it almost rolled up.plus she attack's my feet before i get out of bed,in the morning.

When I had a dog he would bark when the doorbell rang. As he barked and ran towards the front door he would slide into it with a bang. So I had to remove the tile and lay carpet at the door so he wouldn't hurt himself. I often wondered if he needed corrective glasses.

My dog only barks at machinery. Barks and nips at the backhoe bucket and dozer blade. Never barks at anything else.

When we are in the truck his head will block the spot mirror at the wrong time. All I do is tell him to put his head down and he ducks.
