I chink with a lime mortar. Have thought about perma chink or log jam synthetics but those are out of my budget.
The first cabin i built i used small poles for chinking.

This one ill.use strips of expanded metal nailed over cracks, stuffed with insulation. Ill let it set a summer to settle and dry out

Yeppers I started out one log at a time. It can grow on ya.
Nice little cabin man. What are you going to topcoat with ?

I usually use 4 parts linseed oil and one part turpentine

Just looked back at the past pictures, WOW!

My progress has been halted with a kidney stone. Once i get past that I want to at least get a roof on and let it sit and dry
