That's what sprouts look like when they're growing?! I may have to reconsider my taste for them. That looks like a plant escapee from some alien world.
This is correct.
To see a stalk growing out of the ground about the size of your forearm with 'alien eggs' growing out of it is a bit unnerving at first.
And when you snap the sprouts off, and THEY GROW BACK!

But Brussel sprouts in the store - about $3 per pound, cabbage- 10¢ per pound.
Do the math. How would you spend your time?

Wow. The first person who decided to try eating those had to have been real hungry, that's for sure! But I guess that's true for a lot of the things we eat.
Compared to raw oysters?:barf: How hungry was that guy?

Brussel sprouts are simply miniature cabbages.
And they are much easier to work with than cabbage heads.

1. A possum is a flat animal that sleeps in the middle of the road.
2. There are 5,000 types of snakes and 4,998 of them live in the South.
3. There are 10,000 types of spiders. All 10,000 of them live in the South, plus a couple no one's seen before.
4. If it grows, it'll stick ya. If it crawls, it'll bite cha.
5. Onced and Twiced are words.
6. It is not a shopping cart, it is a buggy!

I picked up the Iliad and the Odyssey from Amazon today (don't worry, they were free - I know this is public domain now). Figured my collection needed to add these classics. I read them in high school, but not since.

It was so thoughtful of Amazon to offer me to follow the author, so I don't miss any of his new releases:
