My youngest kid today said, why Presidents' Day? What is it for? I explained how when I was a kid it was mainly to honor George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, but that they both got separate days, more days off school too. Now it's to honor all of our presidents. (I guess shes been forgetting this every year).

She said ok, so does that mean the President is going to give a speech?
I had to laugh, but told her he has the day off, it's a federal holiday. (She's disappointed he's not).
I don't know if that's true but I'm enjoying that until somebody ruins it.

Playing golf with my wife and a couple of young guys. My wife missed an easy putt. She let a swear word slip out. One kid said to the other "yep, she's a golfer".
No golf these days.
