A young redneck is swimming in a river. A city man walks up and asks him, “What are you doing in there?”
The redneck says, “I’m washing my clothes.”
The city man asks, “Why don’t you use a washing machine?”
The redneck says, “I tried that, but I got too dizzy.”
The city guy asks "What are you doing in there?" This redneck would answer "Swimming." (Well, I would have to answer "drowning" probably, dunno if I can swim nowadays.)

Hah. Alternative uses for this devise, which is a 'set-gun', are mentioned. I think most set-guns used a simpler triggering arrangement though.

When I lived in Colorado - in the 80s - I read a news article about a guy getting shot when he jimmied a warehouse door, by a set-gun. That was a shotgun though. The warehouse owner was arrested, because (surprise) Colorado doesn't approve of set-guns anymore.
