I saw in another thread you are making moc's
here is a fun thing to make with your scrap leather

Cut a strip 6'' long and 1/2'' wide
measure from the end back to the center 1 1/2'' make a mark. then a mark at 2''
in the center of the strip. cut a line that connects the 2 marks. do this to both ends of the 6'' strip.
take one end and thread it through the slit on the other end of the strip, pull tight
repeat with the other end.
cut the strip in the middle.
you just made a pair of earrings
It is called a ''blood knot''

trim the ends, burnish, make a hole for your stud or wire,

I just saw this- fun! I’ve had “must do’s” that have been ahead of wanna do’s haven’t made much progress.

Got my cobbler machine back from the dr. recently so will have to get to thinking about my mocs next. Think I will be using pig hide for mine. (Buffalo for the souls). Need to finish one more thing before I start in on another.

Whole lot cheaper if you buy a $20 lace cutter and cut your own

I’ve not cut my own. Didn’t even think of it quite honestly.
I have a pair of “boots” that I think I want to sorta mimic or use as a guide for the mocs and will want black laces.

Lace cost approx $25 per spool of 50’
You can buy $25 of leather and cut twice the amount for less

The trick is use a new blade every time
A dull blade will give you hell
