It was interesting to say the least in the circumstances.
After considering this design, I think may have hit on something. The leather bands I have are narrow at the "tail" which allows the longer pipe to tip it over. I think the wider tail would make it more stable, along with the taller back to lift the pipe stem more vertically, which will change the balance point as well.
the one I made last night, the design is OK except it needs a longer tail that will stabilize it . Am I on the right track?
Still thinking on it, but yeah I think so. Would you send me the dimensions of that one? I'll play with them this weekend and see what I think. Maybe have some ideas afterward.
