Just for fun let me play the Devil's Advocate here, and ask WHY NOT? Cocoa Cola is 90% water. Ice Tea and Lemonade are 99% water. Even beer is 95% water. IMHO we are getting some questionable advice.

Sugar, salts & caffeine are not good for you in the levels that we intake in 20th & 21 century.

I have seen that chart in a foundry.

Those charts were in every bathroom at work places around here decades ago.
Salt tablet dispensers were mounted on the wall outside the bathrooms too.
We did great.
Then they lowered the numbers on what = HBP and salt was declared 'evil' .
It went downhill from there.
