I picked up a catalog at the Mennonite auction house yesterday, and thought many here might be interested too. PCBE, Plain Community Business Exchange, is a monthly magazine. I skimmed through this advertising supplement and it’s like Grainger, Lehman’s, the local farm store and Sears Roebuck catalog combined. Besides what you’d expect for anything found on a farm, there are lots of resources for solar, non electric appliances (blenders, Kitchen Aid crank handles, freezers, fridges, washers, hair trimmers), essential oils, typewriters. Three nice articles on a butcher shop, a cheese making business, and a chapter of a book on rethinking retirement.Great ideas for all stages of life. Nice all through. I am going to subscribe, and will give a follow up when the actual magazine comes. This is just a supplement, and I think I’ll have to hide it if anything is to get done today.
