If so need to be in Gennis Book for not only fastest forming cataracts but almost instant cataracts in BOTH eyes.

My BIL went almost completely blind in a very short period of time. Less than 3 months, if I remember correctly.
He ignored all his symptoms and his blood pressure was out of control. He's lucky to have survived.
One day he was doing ok and the next he was in the hospital. He went downhill fast from there. Lost vision in both eyes. He sees light and shadows and that's about all. It got a little better after cataract surgery but not much. He also had a leg amputated because of an infection also caused in part by his BP.

It seemed like the kids issues started over night. The migraines she'd been having for a couple of years and her blood sugar and heart issues were probably there as long as the migraines but didn't have visible symptoms yet. The low blood sugar showed up suddenly one morning and the heart issues a few weeks later. Just suddenly dropped her like a box of rocks.

I have done 2 rounds with Statins. First time stayed on them for a few years, had weird things going on the whole time and dropped the statins. Weird stuff went away. Dr hounded me for 3 years after that to get back on them. So I did. Within 2 months the Side effect came back, mostly mid level back pain. I have herniated disk in the L5-S1 area but the pain was Higher. Stopped the statins and within 2 weeks the pain was gone. I'll not do them again. I'm gonna be worm food one day regardless what or how many drugs I take. No reason to have extra pain just to hang on a little longer. I've had a nuclear stress test that showed no issues, so I don't feel the need to treat something that doesn't present as a problem.

I see my primary care every 6 months and my endrocrinologist every 6 months. Split to see one about every 3 months. Blood work from both. Other than my A1C being higher than 7 everything else is pretty good.

You and your spouse are still young so do your homework. Don't wait till yall get old as me. Some of these vidios are short. Sme for @Spik, @Patchouli @Sentry18 , @BlueZ , It is darker now so vision is getting worse. Can't type a lot.And others here.

I am watching my parents and my in-laws go through surgeries, prescriptions, changing prescriptions, etc., etc. I may not be experiencing it but I am witnessing it first hand. This is another reason IMO to eat as healthy (i.e. ketogenic) as one can. Many chronic diseased and cancers are dietary based. Both my Dad and father-in-law have managed to greatly reduce their medication intake based solely on diet.

My parents were over medicated and both died in their 60s. That wasn't the cause of death, but darn it! I just can't even begin to get started talking about diet, nutrition, exercise or activity, and staying off the pills..
It was recommended to me that I take several different drugs, I refused all but one. I'm healthier now than I was 8 yrs ago when that was suggested and I'm more active.

Hubbys mom passed from "medication toxcitity" she was 86. But.

I found this article about cataracts and HP meds,

https://www.liverdoctor.com/blood-pressure-drugs-and-cataracts/

Blood Pressure Drugs Significantly Increase Cataract Risk
An Australian study has found that some blood pressure medication strongly increases the risk of developing cataracts. The two categories of drugs linked to cataracts are beta blockers and ACE inhibitors. Beta blocker users were 61 percent more likely to end up having cataract surgery, while users of ACE inhibitors were 54 percent more likely to require surgery.

Beta blockers are very commonly prescribed; they block the effects of adrenalin and noradrenalin on the heart. Beta blockers slow down the heart rate and reduce the force of the heart’s contractions. This means less blood is pumped through the arteries, therefore blood pressure goes down. Common brand names of beta blockers are Tenormin, Lopresor, Betaloc, Inderal, and Visken.

ACE inhibitors are also known as Angiotensin Converting Enzyme inhibitors; they block the production of a hormone that causes narrowing of blood vessels. Therefore blood vessels widen and blood can flow more easily. Some brand names of ACE inhibitors are Capoten, Monopril, Zestril, Prinivil, Coversyl, Accupril, and Renitec.

Both of these drugs are effective at lowering blood pressure; however, they do have undesirable side effects. Fatigue, lethargy, a dry cough, fluid retention, and erectile dysfunction are common side effects. The Australian study linking their use to cataracts analysed data from nearly 2,500 residents in the Blue Mountains, NSW, and was published in the British Journal of Ophthalmology.

What to do if you have high blood pressure
Leaving elevated blood pressure untreated is dangerous because it causes damage to the organs and tissues of the body; particularly the arteries, kidneys, eyes, brain, and the heart. Heart attacks and strokes are more likely to occur in people with high blood pressure. Ideal blood pressure is 120 over 80 millimetres of mercury (mmHg). It is important to seek treatment if your blood pressure is equal to or greater than 140 over 90 mmHg.

How to lower blood pressure
Here are some natural and effective remedies to lower blood pressure:

  • Maintain a healthy weight. Weight loss is a very effective remedy for lowering blood pressure. Weight around the torso is most dangerous.
  • Don’t eat too much sugar or high carbohydrate foods like bread, pasta, and foods made of flour. A high carbohydrate diet promotes high blood insulin levels and insulin constricts blood vessels and promotes fluid retention. People worry about salt causing high blood pressure, but sugar is just as likely to cause a problem. It’s interesting to note that people with insulin resistance are more likely to develop cataracts whether they are on blood pressure drugs or not. Blood sugar that is higher than ideal can cause oxidative damage to the lens of the eye, raising the risk of cataracts. Berberine is an excellent herbal remedy that naturally helps to normalize blood sugar.
  • Take a magnesium supplement. Magnesium relaxes the nerves and muscles of the body. It relaxes and dilates blood vessels, and also helps to reduce stress and nervous tension.
  • Exercise regularly. Exercise that makes you huff and puff and sweat is best for lowering blood pressure. Check with your doctor before beginning an exercise program if you have been inactive for some time.
  • Don’t drink too much alcohol. A heavy alcohol intake raises blood pressure. Men should consume no more than two standard drinks per day and women no more than one, with at least two alcohol free days per week. Find healthier ways to unwind.
  • Eye Formula tablets contain nutrients that specifically protect the eyes from inflammatory and oxidative damage; these nutrients include lutein, zeaxanthin, and bilberry.
Avoid excess salt in your diet and avoid cigarettes completely

@Tortminder I found this on the siteBe good to know for us about to have surgery,

The Aminoglycosides, in particular gentamycin, are the most toxic of the antibiotics commonly used in ophthalmology.3,4 A subconjunctival injection of gentamycin and other aminoglycosides has the potential of causing severe complications that can result in loss of sight. These complications, though rare, are well documented in the literature. The clinical presentation of gentamycin toxicity resembles a vaso-occlusive and non-perfusion event5 and includes macular infarction and optic atrophy.6 Extreme caution
Extreme caution is needed when administering a periocular injection of aminoglycoside for treatment or prophylaxis of infection.3

To achieve anaesthesia in adults, retrobulbar or peribulbar injection of xylocaine with adrenaline is also routinely given. According to Huber and Remky 4, in addition to complications like central retinal artery occlusion, ischaemic optic neuropathy and retinal or outer retinal ischaemia, retrobulbar xylocaine (when compared with subconjunctival xylocaine) induces a high reduction of velocity of blood flow in the retrobulbar vessels. Xylocaine is sometimes used in combination with adrenaline (a vasoconstrictor)

JUST like warning to seniors to NEVER take Bactrim unless absolutely have to.
This all started with urinary tract infection and 3 meds that are NOT to be taken together for any reason. first thought I had pancreatitis then cat scan proved not.
Then sight took a vacation. I hope it was a vacation anyway.

In the 50s and 60s they gave young mothers pills to dry up their milk. I never took a single one and neither did my daughters. Tell your daughters andgrand daughters to reserch beore taking them.
No wonder breast cancer is so rampant now, if they ain't raiating their heck out of us they are stopping natures natural flow. Plus my kids were never sick babies and their breathe didn't stink from cows milk.
My two daughters are oth going through mnapause, [ I hd to get off phone with them for awhile] but they don't take hormones. Us family members just have to excuse them.

Since my daughter was a preemie, there was a lot of pressure to NOT breast feed. I had known for many years that that is what I wanted to do. When she hadn't gained X amount of weight in X amount of time, there they were, trying to discourage me again. How in the world is baby formula (often soy based) any better than breast milk. It isn't!

I have often wondered if having our teeth X-rayed has had an affect on how much cancer there is in the world now? Add that to many other factors, and there it is.

I saw this and thought of you, Meerkat!

This might sting.jpg

I've heard all my life that everybody has cancer cells in their body....and that extreme stress will activate them and ...
voila..
Tumors.

I dunno.

Jim

I'm a firm believer in that one Jim.
Reminds me of this quote,

Phil. 4"7

tand Firm in the Lord
…6Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think on these things.…

Plus no getting up in the middle of the night testing to make sure it isn't too hot or cold. Can't beaat mother nature.
I did that with my little sister and it was a hassle. warm it ,too hot, cool it don too cold, forget hat stuff. Of course some can't breast feed and they have to use bottles. We were very lucky Weedy.

We all have cells that are "pre-cancerous". Our body's defenses keep them under control and their numbers down. When the numbers go up and the immune system can't keep up they turn into cancer.
What causes cancer? That is a question that seems to have a lot of different answers but no hard proof. A lady friend of my mom died of lung cancer having never been a smoker or around smokers. My mom lived to 85 as a two pack a day smoker and never had any cancer. So, if smoking causes cancer then my mom's friend should have never gotten it and it should have killed my mom. Nope! Asbestos causes cancer... not so much. While some asbestos workers did develop a specific lung cancer many others did not. (me included)
My dad died of "non-specific" cancer at 48 and died that same year. There was no apparent cause or source for his cancer.
Exposure to high amounts of ionizing radiation will almost always cause death but rarely cancer. Large doses of non-ionizing radiation will sometimes cause cancer but not always.I am sure that the medical field is still researching for the cause but I don't expect they will succeed. I believe that we cause our cancer to go out of control through worry, guilt and fear without action taken to fix the problem. The message here is to act to alleviate those emotions or their root and be happy with your life. Never be satisfied because there is always more to do for yourself. Keep setting new goals and work toward achieving them. As long as you have a need to live you will be fine.

ometimes radiation also kills cancer if done right with good radiologist.I know people who beat cancer with chemo ,raiation too. Itaa not all bd like anything else we do

I'm still investigating to see how I went from 20-20 10 month's ago to partial blindness in an instant. I use this thread to refer back to.

https://www.sweye.com/blog/optical-care/how-antibiotics-can-damage-eyes-and-vision/

Other antibiotics are known to cause eye problems such as the following:

  • sensitivity to bright lights
  • dry eye syndrome
  • allergic conjunctivitis (red eye)
  • temporary vision distortion, which can even progress to outright night blindness
  • increased risk of glaucoma, especially in patients who already have diabetes
All in all, there’s a takeaway from this that is worth considering to those in need of eye care: antibiotics are not always what they’re cracked up to be. While helpful to many people, the side effects can range from discomforting to substantial and dangerous. Antibiotics tend to be used too often, which not only reduces their effectiveness when a real serious threat to health comes along, they also alter the body’s natural chemistry.

Some test are not good either.
Since the mammograms came out epedemic of breast cancer.

I had one about 35 year ago, they put breast between two compression slats, flatten it out like a pancake then radiate the hell out of it.:ghostly:

If they did this test on mens testicles to checkfor testiclar cancsr.it would have ceased years ago.:eyeballs:.

i finally found a eye doctor appt eaarlt December. Also found a nurse practiiioner, appt with her in December too. New patient is hard to find doctor.

There is big money in cancer.
Imagine how much money the medical industry and pharmaceutical companies make.
Prostate cancer kills more people than breast cancer but breast cancer gets the most attention and money.
Lung cancer is still the number 1 cause of cancer deaths.
Like always you need to follow the money to find the truth.

On the subject of drying up breast milk.
When I was a kid my Grandma and my Aunt was whispering to one another about something a young boy was not supposed to hear. So being a young boy I naturally wanted to know. I asked Grandpa and he explained my Aunt wanted to stop breastfeeding and she needed a way to stop the milk.
Grandma's Arkansas backwoods answer was to pour some breast milk into the dirt. No idea why that was supposed to work but you did not argue with Grandma about medical stuff.

I am so glad I found this website. I have had a lot of questions answered about my husband's health issues. My husband is a relatively healthy 32 year old and has been on 5mg Lisnopril for almost 5 years for slightly high BP and has had a lot of problems since he has started taking it. The most severe problem he has experienced lately is vision loss in his eye. He started complaining in late November of Floaters and Grainy Vision in his left eye. This will last about a week and then subside only to return a few days later. The vision problems will come on suddenly and get so bad that he can't see or read out of his left eye. He sees lines, floaters, cobwebs, colors, and grainy spots. My husband went to his family doctor when it first started and was told not to worry about it. ... more »
