Last week my wife had a video appointment with a doctor.
She had all my wife's medical records from the other docs my wife sees.
The call was an hour long and she was very thorough.
The outcome is she gave my wife a state permit to grow and consume cannabis.
My wife makes butter and oil from the plant and then uses that to make cookies.
She eats 2 small cookies before bedtime and she is able to sleep better. They also help with her pain.
Along with my wife's permit the doc also gave me a permit to grow and transport the plants. Not for me to use however.
On Monday we have an appointment to get us on the state medical marijuana database.
With that neither of us are subject to arrest if we are stopped by the police.
Without being in the database we can grow up to 4 plants. On the list we can grow 6 or a max of 15.
My wife does not buy guns so there is no issues with form 4473.
The doctor told us the database is medical information and is not released.

I’ve taken care of young patients (in their 40s) with diabetes who stroked and had seizures when taking Kratom (hemorrhagic stroke). It hasn’t been linked yet but enough has happened that it’s still under investigation.
 
I’m a part time delivery driver for a large national company.
If I’m in an accident, even if it’s not my fault, I will be tested for drugs and alcohol.
Company HQ has warned everyone that CBD products will cause you to fail a test, and if you fail you’re fired.
I really would have loved relief from the constant knee pain from osteoarthritis, but I ended that with a total knee replacement.
I still suffer from nerve pain from peripheral neuropathy, but I have a prescription for it that is non narcotic, so I’m good.
 
A friend has ALS (last stages ) I make him brownies ,but lately its got so bad he can't swallow it so now we decarb it and mix it with liquid .
Does it help ? I don't know , but he smiles more . anyone that has ALS should be able to have anything they want legal or illegal .
 
My step daughter has epilepsy. She has suffered for years, seeing numerous specialists and taking countless pharma treatments. She moved to Oregon so she could take cannabis. A lot of the cannabis treatment information comes from the established community here or Germany. It gives her unparalleled relief without terrible side effects.

One of my six surviving brothers has been diagnosed with 'Lou Gehrig's Disease' or ALS, and we're not sure if it was a misdiagnosis... nobody in my family has EVER had it, and there was also some question of whether my brother actually had Lyme Disease? Anyway, he has been losing control of his limbs and fumbling with stuff... he's about 67, I think, so he's had a relatively full life, but still, that sucks, and I understand it's a steady decline with ALS, so there's a finite period before death. When my brother flew over from Italy (where he lives with his Italian wife) and brought his kids from San Diego (my niece & nephew, now grown to adulthood) to visit me in Benson, AZ, we had an outdoor campfire and BBQ, and we drank some good beers too... at one point, my brother lit a cigarette, and I told him, "You ought to smoke dope instead!" He hasn't been a lifelong smoker either, I guess he just doesn't care anymore... but if I had that nasty disease, I'd probably smoke dope all the time and skip the tobacco, and drink wheatgrass juice by the glass. :confused:

This guy just sits in a electric wheel chair hooked up to tubes and drools , can't talk or move . not a pretty sight . actually i hope he goes soon and has peace .
 
Yeah, that sucks... I'd rather be on my way out than do that deal every day. :(

And if I ever contract some ugly disease and that's what the future looks like, I'll take my own life before I lose all control, aye? I don't hold with others about suicide being a "sin" or whatever, who's to judge when a person is terminally ill and death becomes more attractive than life itself? I think a bit of compassion would be in order... and I'd certainly NOT look down upon someone who takes drugs for pain management of any sort. I'll do it myself if it ever becomes necessary. 😒

I'm right there with you. My mom had a severe stroke in 1974, in her 30s. I was a year and a half old. It robbed her of most of her speech and the use of her fingers of her right hand. She fought her way back and lived a full life, even with those disabilities. She cooked and cleaned and finished raising us kids, even worked outside our home a few hours a month. However her right leg progressively became weaker as she aged, she started falling, and without her right hand she couldn't get back up. Then recurring UTIs knocked her down and she couldn't regain her strength so she's in a wheelchair in a nursing home. Without her right hand she can't maneuver the chair. She can't walk or get out of it on her own. Her mind is sharp but she can only communicate in a few phrases and words. My heart breaks for her, and I know she's ready to leave the world behind for heaven. If I'm ever in that position I hope my heart gives up...

The why is not the issue for me. The fact that it remains a controlled substance federally means that If I want to keep my CCL and the ability to buy guns I stay away from its use. Getting a prescription is a great way to get caught when buying a gun.

I wonder if that is even true. I have a cc license and a medical mj license in Virgnia , have had the cc license since we moved here ( Florida one before that) and got the medical license a few years ago. Nobody asked

But the thing is that you could smoke it at night, when you are not working and all the effects of being "high" or whatever will be gone the next day. I have no problems driving, or doing farm work or anything else . I smoke some before going into the walmart shopping and by the time I am done it's worn off

your right but it stays detectable in your system for about 30 days. My wife worked with a women that was out sick for a couple weeks , she stopped a couple weeks before going back to work , she asked her dr. if she would be clean and he said you should be . Job required after being out for more than 5 days you have to be tested (failed and fired on the spot) shortly after that it was made legal in nys .now she has no job
 
Over 90,000 people a year in the United States die from alcohol abuse and 450,000 a year die from tobacco and that includes 40.000 from second-hand smoke.

Is pot illegal because there is a conflict between it and the alcohol and tobacco industries?
 
Big Pharma has more "political clout" than the alcohol & tobacco industries... in other words, they have more MONEY to sling at scumbag politicians, or more money to buy 'em outright from the start. 😒

Big Pharma is tied to the ZOG... lots of money to be made all around in the healthcare racket. 😷

Truth be told, I'd rather ramp up my drinking and start using tobacco products before I ever touch Big Pharma cr@p, the stuff is NOT made to improve your health. The list of dangerous side effects often outweighs any medical "benefits." :confused:
 
The RSO that I have climbs over and suppresses break though pain better than Endone and I wake up in the morning with no hangover and no walking around like a drooling zombie.

I don't have very much left so I'm keeping it in the fridge for when things get really bad.

Dosage is a dab that is the size of half a grain of rice under the tongue.
Don't be dismissive of this tiny dosage and up the amount because you think it's going to do nothing. This stuff packs a punch.
Any more than that ( and I am a complete light weight) and you feel fine until you try to stand up

The condition is called Couch Locked for a reason.
SO, if you're in pain and need to take it - take it where you plan on being for a couple of hours...
like going to bed for the night.
 
I use plants for medicine almost exclusively. About a decade ago I got injured by a bull here on the farm. Messed up my knee, haven’t been on a horse since. At the time I was given a cannabis topical spray by a friend. Basically a home made tincture with a touch of lavender oil for scent. Being mostly alcohol it evaporated off my skin in seconds. When sprayed on my knee it took about 10 min and I was pain free for an hour. Amazing…

...My friend was a commercial roofer, fell through the roof of a school. Broke more than a dozen bones including both neck and back. He was given so many opioids he almost burned his house down twice trying to cook. He lived alone, not a good thing. This cannabis spray saved his life in my book. It allowed him to be relatively pain free with a much clearer head.

Currently… I have cfs which means I haven’t had a good nights sleep in 23yrs. I’ve tried gummies, they seem to help. About as well as anything else, nothing always works.

Another spray would help more, many times the reason I can’t sleep is bone aches. I make complex tinctures now, would have no trouble making a good cannabis spray, lotion, salve, even capsules.

Leary about having cannabis around though. Smoking pot makes me lethargic. I already have cfs. The last thing I need is another reason to sit in my chair. I struggle daily to get out of it.

And for me it’d be easy, have the farm and equipment. And if needed… I hunt wild medicinals over a 300sq mile area so I know more than a few places no one ever goes.

I’ve thought about growing it, keep telling myself I should do research. Learn what is or is not legal here. I know it's an effective medication for a wide range of issues. Seen it work many times.

I wish the Southern Baptists would let us have it. make my life a lot easier.

Contact your health insurance provider and ask if they cover drug counseling

Talk to your co HR and see if the policy for a positive test is termination BUT. Can remain if you attend a drug counseling session
We were tested every 6 mths and my welder had it worked out to piss hot then go talk to a nice lady would only be off for a day
