Henry has introduced two new Side Gate Lever Action rifles, one in .45-70 rifle and the other in .410. Both have an MSRP of $1,045 and an expected street price of around $850.

Ever looked at Ranger Point Precision? It's a company in TX. Makes some really cool things for lever guns. I especially like their cloverleaf peep sight as an iron sight option.

I've said it before , If they went and built a side gate Henry in 45-70 I would just be forced to buy another rifle....dang I gotta save some money now, I can predict the future and I just know what is gonna happen.....

    About time.

Now if they stop painting their recievers (blued steel is better), and brass plating their recievers (solid brass is better)..

    I may consider Henry.
As of today I don't own one.

I have brass reciever rifles that are solid brass.

    Sorry Henry fans.

    Just MHO.

Tempting, but the H&R Buffalo rifle and Marlin 1895 in 45-70 fill my desires so far :)

The brass in the big rifles receivers are solid brass, the smaller 22s are made from a very durable alloy with brass plates to cover, Now the Color Case Hardened models are strong, steel and good lookin.

I would like to add the Henry side loader to my lever action rifle collection soon.
