Many of the old TV shows started on the radio, Gunsmoke, and the Lone Ranger for sure. The Life of Riley was a radio show in the 40's near the end of the war, and made it to television in 1949. Fibber Magee and Molly was also a big radio hit that made it to film and television.
 
Hogan's Heros!! I have the entire thing on DVD.

Never saw it on tv , before my time, but a friend asked me if I had ever seen this show ( since I am German) . I told him no, and he gave me a DVD of season 1. I have never seen any tv show that made me laugh this much before. Bought the rest of them. Schulz omg! And Klink hahahaha!
