Where is her pole? ;)

Learn something new everyday... Saw this on the net, had to research it myself but it seems to be true. "To some people the Eastern Spadefoot Toad smells like peanut butter". It's native to the eastern US and I've seen this toad before, never handled one though, certainly never smelled one.

Lick it and see if it tastes like peanut butter. 😈

Found tonight, forgot I took this photo last December. It was fun watching the pup grow up... he'd have growth spurts, different parts of his body. For a while his head was to big for his body or his body to big for his legs.

Obviously his legs had just gone through a growth spurt in this photo. They were way to long for his body... he looked goofy walking around,

Me my brother my momma and my Grandpa. We shot a truck load of hogs that morning. We were all young back then, good thing because we cleaned hogs all evening. Grandpa has been gone 12 years now I miss him every day. View attachment 62801
Your mom is beautiful - looks like she could be your sister! (No offence to you or bro.)

My oldest and second oldest granddaughter a had the senior prom last week.
I couldn't be there for the parade but, I got to see them before they went.
If you think I'm a proud pawpaw ....your right.

@Bluetick21 Thanks, I'll look you up if I'm up that way. Neighbor over back of me still hunts. Every time a raccoon starts nosing around my chickens I try to live trap it first (then break out the steel traps). If I catch one I take it over to my neighbor so he can train his dogs with it.

No problem at all! We’re always willing to take someone hunting with us and always up to meeting new people. That is good thing about having our hounds we don’t have to many coons brave enough to come that close haha

There was a big article about him in the Denver Post a couple of days ago.
He was well liked, refined, friendly, a go getter and paid for his home by selling art pieces from his front porch. I only met him once, when I was working in my yard and he came by. Someone told me that if you encountered him, it was a good half hour conversation. Many people are devastated by his death. He has work on display at the Kirkland Art Museum.

" Ragland was best known for his oil paintings. His popular sculptures were made of discarded materials, including bedsprings, tires, pipes, chains and car parts. He authored two books,” The Artist’s Question and Answer Book” and the “The Artist’s Survival Handbook: Or What to Do Till You’re Rich and Famous.” "
