Those little green tables were custom made by a friend. They hold a bottle of wine in the big hole, and two wine glasses in the small slotted holes. They were made with redwood, but mama painted them after she wanted a pop of color out there.

A woman who saw this photo wrote this: "I [female] shocked 100 acres of oats by myself in 1957 as my dad was ill." Okay, now we know it can be done, but that is an incredible amount of work.
I was standing looking out the screen door watching a storm when a ball about 30 inches formed just inside. It bounced through the house hit the kitchen wall and was gone.
I showed the video of the ball lightning to my friend and he said whoever was filming was either brave or stupid.
Havasu, I love that setup and I love the pool slide. If I could ever have my dream house I would have a pool slide like that (but I'd have an indoor pool). Or a pool in a lanai.
Took Mom to the DMV so she could renew registration on the CR-V. Fippy came along for the ride (he always jumps in when Mom is in the vehicle) and was waiting for her to come out.
The old Piggly Wiggly (which had been multiple different types of restaurants after PW closed) burned down.
Yesterday I broke the handle on my WW2 British trenching tool. I use this a lot for many things on the homestead. So I made a new handle and spent a little extra time on this one just because I do use it a lot. Tried it out and the new handle is pretty comfortable.
I'm sure there are new tools that would work for the same things but I have this one and use it for many things. I had bought it at a yard sale for a dollar with no handle many years ago. The old handle I made worked fine for several years but it had dry-rotted and broke. New handle was made from a new hardwood table leg I got for 50 cents a while back. I used a draw knife to shape the new handle. I used the leather wrap for a better grip and to make the handle a little bigger to fit my hand better.
These two like to get on my bed (yeah, I know its a mess in here).
Peanutbutter on the left and Jelly on the right. Jelly was making weird faces. View attachment 88672View attachment 88673
The only thing I see about them that makes them not ridgebacks, is that they are ridgeless, but they could be ridgeless ridgebacks. It might be why they were dumped. I know a couple ridgeless ridgebacks. They are as lovely as the ones with ridges, imho.
They chewed my laptop cable in half. The hardwired to brick part of the 230w adapter. If they had chewed the other end that can unplug it wouldn't be so bad. $100 for a replacement. Friend thinks we can patch it temporarily though. We'll see. I'm on my desktop for now.
I didn't get the brand name, but this thing is 230W and has a specific type of plug to go into the computer. The ones I saw on Amazon didn't have the right plug.
