We started using rolls of produce bags to put the moose meat we process in. Food safe, cheap, doesn't leak. Now we have a roll hanging next to the paper towels. Use them every day.
Leftovers can go on a plate n slipped into a bag. Ready for the fridge. Vacuum sealed product like salmon or food that can be wet goes into a produce bag then vacuum sealed.
For putting up your game meat n such they are unbeatable as they don't leak and it adds a layer to help not freezer burn. Meat is bagged up. As in 1# bags of burger. Roasts n such.
We keep a few by the garden so they are handy when gathering produce n such.
Cost is generally under 25 bucks and a roll lasts for years.
