Anyone have recommendations for LED lights for grow stations?

I want to upgrade from the old florescent shop light with regular bulbs to full spectrum LED.

I used 3 double tube fixtures on each shelf.

Would one full spectrum fixture be an upgrade for the 3 florescent?

I have these in my shopping cart for consideration.

I thought Urbanhunter would chime in on this one!!

I've used a variety of the Barrina LEDs with fair success, they daisy chain easy enough but they require some playing with to get them to fit snug up against the bottom of the wire shelves. Honestly, I use them because they are inexpensive and they are relatively low wattage. My current set up is using 3 lights per 2' wide shelf. I am using 1 20 watt unit in the center and 2 - 40 watt units on the outside, combined they are very bright and draw 100 watts per growing shelf.

The 40 watt units are the Barrina LED Shop Light, 4FT 40W 5000LM 5000K, Daylight White, V Shape and they run about $10 per 4' tube
The 20 watt units are the Barrina LED T5 Integrated Single Fixture, 4FT, 2200lm, 5000K, 20W, Utility Shop Light and the run about $7.50 per 4' tube.

I didn't go with the grow light version this time because I found them to be a little expensive and because I am using these a "supplemental" lighting in addition to the natural lighting that they already get, the plants don't seem to mind....

So for my latest setup the cost is about $28/ 4' shelf. I monitor the current draw and I am seeing each shelf draw between 96 and 104 watts. They do put out some heat, but right now I don't mind that.

All of my lights are powered by my inverter via a long power strip attached to one leg of the growing station. I have a timer for each shelf's lighting, so I can apply different lighting duration to each shelf independently. With all the shelves on and a small heater the maximum total draw is about 900 watts....

Oh, everything is attached using wire ties.

Here are some pics of my current arrangement:

Yikes!

Are they LED ?

Ben
That's a cooling reflector for an HPS or MH both of which are great grow light bulbs BUT they eat tons of power and create even more heat than light. I've used both kinds of lights in the past. You WILL see a jump in your power bill.

I settled on these lights.

For the two four foot shelves I ordered the following

Barrina LED Grow Light, 252W(6 x 42W) 4ft T8, Full Spectrum, V-Shape with Reflector, Linkable Design, Plant Lights for Indoor Plants, 6-Pack

The lights for the three foot shelves may arive tomorrow.

Thanks dor the suggestions!

I think you will be amazed at the first ones you listed. They do need to be pretty close to the plants though. When I setup my 4ft shelves for growing I put two at the top and one on the side for middle lighting. GOOD washable flat white paint is a great reflector.
