Here is the old motor and clutch
And the new 550 enduro servo

Old motor and clutch (all cast iron) are still good
If anyone is thinking of building a lathe, drill press, or what ever
I will sell the old for $20.00 and you pay the shipping. Hellofadeal

Servo motor has a dial the slowest it will run is 350 rpm. Top end is 3000 rpm
I am installing a jack shaft and have sized the pulleys to get me to 60 rpm +\-
Calculations are
Bottom small pulley is 2”. Large is 8”
On the jack shaft with the 8”is a 3” that goes to a 6”
Center to center is
2”—8”. Is 9.5 cxc
3”-6”. Is 19.25 cxc
This is giving me a 1-9 ratio

When I first turned the machine, It was froze up, would not budge
I traced the problem to the needle bar by process of elimination. Isolated the needle bar and could turn the machine. Tied to remove needle bar and that was a no no. No
I wound up cutting the bar out in 3 peices using a dermal with cut off bkade

And I now am picturing you doing this in flip flops and underwear!😉

Frodo, that looks great! I would have had no idea how to restore that machine. I have helped people get their machines back on track by adjusting, cleaning and oiling, but when it comes to the mechanical repairs, I would be at a loss. I remember my mother helping people get their sewing machines working again.

It is nothing but pure common sense
If you have that you can do it

A connects to b and c moves when you turn a

C does not turn
What’s wrong with a? Nothing?
Must be b. Feel it, move it, what is wrong with it?

Sewing machine is up and running
Here is an image of the first stitch lines
After the timing was set
Top stitch used black thread

Bottom stitch used green thread

The reason for 2 diff colors is to see where the knot is located
here the knot is barely visible on the bottom stitch. Means I need to adjust the tension setting
