We received a request for a rimfire section and thanks to Scott and Angie, we are up and running.

Who else has a Ruger 10/22? I have two, one I bought for myself, and the other I bought for my daughter for her 16th birthday!

    ooh, ooh, ooh...

    I got one,
and I won a $5 bill with it a couple years ago....
We had dime size , quarter size, and half dollar size red , peel and stick stickers on a white 2x6 at 50 yards,

    You get 1 shot ,
Pick which one you want to shoot
    $1, $3, and $5 prize for the 3 targets.

I shot one shot and , dead center the $5 , dime size sticker....

Cool , very good shooter , that Ruger 10/22.

    1022.jpg

Oh, btw, stickers were 1 foot apart, and I was aiming a the $1 big sticker...:eek::D:D

Is the 10-22 the only rimfire here? What about the Marlin Mod60, MKIII, AR7 and Single six?

I don't have one yet, but I plan to aquire a Model 60 with the laminate stock. We used to make a game of shooting soda cans at 50 yards with a scoped model 60...the catch was, there was a sledgehammer head standing on end in front of the can. You had to shoot through the hole for the shaft. That old 60 scored 10 straight for me one day...I love the 10/22 but I challenge anyone to find a stock 10/22 that could do that...

I'm more of a Marlin bolt action guy myself,I prefer the Model 25N over the model 60,it seems to be more accurate.

I stopped a thought as it rattled by. It said the Model 25 may have been Marlin's response to the Winchester Model 52. Then the thought slipped out of my grasp and rolled behind the dishwasher.

Well as long as we looking at Marlins,
    Here's a sweet little Marlin 783,
Not .22LR but, .22 magnum, Yep it's a tack driver.

Took a groundhog at 148 yards (Nikon range finder) last summer , one head shot, never moved, dropped like a rock.
I held over its head 1".
I had just zeroed it in at 100 yards a couple days before.

Oh, I use to lay in the woods for hours, waiting for them tree rats to come get them hickory nuts...
pop., then pop, then watch em scatter, watch where them 2 fell .

    That was some good times,

I like to hunt Tree Rat.

Hard to beat a 10/22. I have several and recently inherited a Henry .22 lever gun and a M&P 15/22 from my dad. Me and my boys love shooting the rifles and the MkI.

I had an early model 10-22, I think my Grandfather bought it about 1968-'69, but neither of us ever shot it.
My wife wanted it, but with a Hogue stock, & a scope. So, I restocked it per her spec, put a Bushnell Banner
Scope on it & added an 1 1/4 Military sling. She says the color is Raspberry, but I don't think so. She uses it often, and is quite pleased with it.

One good thing, when we're out walking on the desert. I can see her from great distances.

    Real Nice Jim...

    Real Nice EasyCZ...

    Real Nice 70's...

    =====================

I run a Excel Spread Sheet on all my Ammo... ( got to keep track of it )...anyway, last count on my .22 Ammo was:

    .22 LR = 38, 830 rounds = 77.66 Bricks

    .22 Magnum = 8, 200 rounds = 16.40 Bricks

    .22 Long = 5,000 rounds = 10 Bricks

    .22 Short = 2,000 = 4 Bricks

Been building this supply up mostly as "prepper cash"...should the SHTF, paper $$ ain't gonna be worth the paper it's printed on and Barter will rule the economy.

My "bank account" is the .22 ammo, and every time I see some and I have the money, I buy it. It don't go bad, it's in my vault room, and just about everyone

owns a .22 rimfire pistol, revolver, or rifle.
The Exchange Rate will depend on Supply & Demand.

I like the looks of the 10-22 and the number of barbie accessories available but truth told my old Mod 60 has proven itself to be a better shot when lined up against my friends 10-22's with equivalent scopes.
