Nice Dutchs. Nothing with antlers??
No. Saw two does and saw a big RED FOX but couldn't get pictures. That Grey Fox was literally 15 ft. from me. I was in a 12ft. Tripod stand and it was 3 ft. away.....Very cool IMO.....This isn't it but the Red Fox looked just like this except more black on the face

I haven't seen any fox around here in years, just coyotes.
I swear I was sure that Red Fox was a coyote it was that big. When I put my scope on it I saw it looked different. We have so many coyote here now it took me by surprise. I was really ready to pull the trigger. It looked like it could have even been a cross breed by its size.....beautiful animal though...

I saw a black fox a couple months ago for the first time. I will post a pic when I can.

Mine were in Florida. What state were you in? We can't hunt them here which to me sucks. I would definitely take that pelt. Probably have it done by my taxidermy guy and sit it in my living room.

I'm in Idaho, not sure if I can hunt them. I will have to look it up.

Squirrel, according to an article I read about Yellowstone, Coyotes deplete fox populations; run them down and dig them out of their dens, I guess. Same with other smaller ground dwellers, like groundhogs and badgers. Yellowstone had a 'recovery' in those populations after the returned-to-the-park wolves took out most of the coyotes in those areas.

Finally saw a deer. A doe thpigh6sp I couldn't shoot her. Saw a buck 10 minutes later but couldn't get a shot. Nice 6 point. I'll be back this afternoon. Hopefully he will too....

Yeah I know it's because of the coyotes, they kill just about anything the size of a deer and down. I'd like to see a fight between them and a badger,I bet that would be a sight.

Gave up on the crossbow for one hunt. I wanted some meat! So I broke out my old rusty, I mean trusty Mauser. Shot a little doe that was plenty for my wife and I.

Finally shot a good sized doe with my crossbow Monday. This morning I bubba'd up a temp shooting house. It's only 5 1/2' to the floor but I just wanted to clear the grasses!

Did the 6 point come back @Dutchs ?

No 6 point Gumpy. I haven't seen a thing. I'll be on Vaca for 12 days starting Friday so maybe with more than a day or two to hunt I'll get lucky!

Good luck and shoot straight! Only 7 more days of season here. I miss Alabama huntin. Maybe after I get acclimated to this area I'll like it better.

We have a jaguarundi living in the swamp bottom on pur hunting lease. We all thought we were seeing things till we talked with the dnr guy. Turns out there have been a couple in the area but they are pretty rare. Took a camera with me last couple hunts but didnt see it.
