Have a male short eared owl hanging around in the evenings! He's been around since mid December, comes most evenings and perches on a big oak tree and hunts. Been doing a lot of homework on him. Apparently they winter in my area. They are often seen before dark and are very routine if they have a good hunting area. Trying to get a good picture of him, so far no luck!! Curious how long I'll see him and if he'll be back next year!!??
