I like it. Plain and simple English. This should be hung on the walls of every public building in America.

I am not going to put it in "quotes" because I want it to be easy to read and full size, but every word posted after the link is from the link and credited to the author.

Amendment X

Seems they forgot and never knew most of the above.
Term limits should be an amendment. Otherwise it is just a band of thieves ruling over the people.
I'd like to know how somebody goes into office middle income and in just a couple years of mid income pay comes out millionaires and billionaires.:dunno:

The explication of the 1st amendment is over-simplified. For instance, libel and defamation of character are actionable under civil law.

After about 30 minutes ago I know that the gov can do anythign they damn well please or you won't survive.
I will accept their rules and their gadgets that spy, can burn down our home and put out dirty electricity or I can leave my home!
We really don't have any rights except the ones they allow us to have. And those are fast becoming extentc too.
I'm too upset right nwo to say much though.

Meerkat, We have all the rights we are willing to keep. We may have to fight for them but our rights come from us.

This too is true, but we do elect those who are to represent us but they lie. I think the time for pitch forks and torches has past, don't you?
They now have all kinds of drones, cameras and foreign armies to help them. They train for it aka marchall law in plain site and the dumb schmuck Americans clap them on.o_O

Guns I have and guns I can make. Explosives are easy, chemicals are easy, and there are many other weapons.
Remember, your mind is the strongest and most powerful weapon of all.
You do realize the the American public has more arms than the two largest armies in the world combined. We also have the largest amateur rocketry program in the world.
About the only tool we don't have is a nuclear arsenal but that isn't going to be used on a population that they need.

Correct, but you're still free to speak it. The 1A unfortunately doesn't lay out the consequences, lol.

I can't remember which of the founding fathers said it but the line was; "You can say whatever you wish, as long as you are willing to pay the consequences." or something close to that.

Meerkat, your avatar is cute as can be. I watched the process to pick it out.
(it does remind me of rock chucks but it is thin and more expressive)
(I have been known to shoot chucks... but they were very destructive animals) ;)

Thank you SheepD. I know I'm a silly old lady but I think they act so cute in the wild. And like you said expressive.

I love having a bill of rights although I prefer yours to the Canadian Charter of Rights. The problem is that to my knowledge none of them is accompanied by a Bill or Charter of Responsibilities. I remember talking with one of the framers of the Canadian charter and not having that accompanying document was a huge mistake in his mind
