If you have ever wondered how to make snow it requires lots and lots of air. We run 4, 1600hp, 12 cylinder diesels with big giant turbochargers, air compressors. They are awesome! The other pic is one of the big guns. The picture makes it hard to tell but it is on a mobile frame and stands about 10 feet tall. We were running only one bank of water that night. When we run 4 banks it makes some giant piles. We have 3 others mounted on 30 foot poles. They are electric and have a big turbine fan to get the snow out there. Hopefully tonight we can make some big piles!

Is this something you have to do daily?
Well yes and no. Whenever we have the right temps and proper humidity. Lastnight temps were around 24 but the humidity was high so we made some snow but it was wet and heavy. Tonight same temps but lower humidity so we should make some good snow. We run from November to February or whenever the snow making money runs out.

With all of those compressors running I think it would be fairly noisy process?
Ya but only on the trails we are blowing on. You can talk to someone but your yelling a little. Doesn't bother the wildlife one bit. I see deer, bobcats, coyotes, about every critter while blowing snow. They don't even seem phased by it. The actual compressors are fairly quite. We own one that is older than dirt but works great. The othet 3 we rent and they are brand new units. They give us the new ones so we can test them out for them because we run them hard. After a season with us any bugs will be worked out.
