taking a safety knife or jigsaw, remove the inner area of the lid and line extremely loosely with plastic and tape it down.
In the center of the tote, place a quart cooking pan.
On the outside of the pan place containers of water needing purified or moisture containing things like mud or leaves.
Seal the tote and put a rock in the middle of the plastic sheet so it directs water into the pan.
Set it in the sun. several of these should provide an adult with 1/2 quart each per day.
