There are so many great topics. Guest speakers will be sharing on homesteading, raising animals, home births, alternative education, natural health, vegetable and flower gardening, and more during the two day event.

A bit pricey, but if we lived closer we would go.

Temple Grandin is genius (the others aren't exactly dummyheads either).

This isn't that far from me. The river on the website photo is the Duck River. I used to live on the Duck! My friend Darryl Patton is one of the guest speakers. I've mentioned him often when posting about medicinal plants. I recognize a couple of the other speakers. I've met them before, probably with Darryl. (I was with darryl on lookout mtn a couple weeks ago)

Yep, a good bunch of folks, extremely knowledgeable. It's at times like these I really hate cfs... I'm brain dead after a couple hours of high functioning. It's just not worth the $$ for me. $300 fee, 2 nights in a hotel for one, maybe 2 hrs of time I can understand and retain what I'm hearing.

It's a beautiful part of Tennessee, 1st week of June it'll be gorgeous. It'll be a great time if you can go. For civil war buffs... skirmishes were fought all around Columbia and the Duck River. Lots of history!

I wondered what in the world Kevin Costner could talk about? Silly me! He isn't giving a talk, he is entertaining.
I'm not a fan of his so wouldn't give a nickle - would like to hear some of the knowledge of the others. Unfortunately, his price is probably a considerable percentage of the fee.

I have mixed feelings about him. On one hand, he is a womanizer. On the other hand, he was a gentleman and helped my elderly aunt up the stairs at his former casino in Deadwood. He seemed to have a thing about South Dakota for a while. As a South Dakotan, I appreciate his affections for my home state.

Pretty high priced. Thanks for letting us know @Cabin Fever
Have you ever gone to WI MREA (Midwest Renewable Energy Association) 2-3 day blow out in June each year?
Met and hugged Jackie Clay there (she is my hero on so many levels).
Since we are solar net zero we used to go every year to learn and connect with off griders, solar geeks (hence my name) great beer fro Central Waters, and just learning about everything to do with homesteading. Ordered our 1/2 organic fed goat there and picked up the meat later in fall.
Found out I did not like a lot of the meat tastes unless it was seasoned as Jamaican Jerk so decided NOT to grow goats on our 50 acres.

The Homestead Festival
