Tommie Bass was deeply immersed in herbal medicine for over seventy years and was glad to share his knowledge.

This video gives a glimpse of the old ways of healing, as Tommie knew it. People for miles around came to him to be healed of various afflictions because he was amazingly successful.

There is a link below the video for the complete transcript, which is nice.

Thanks for the information. He was the best and I look forward to watching all three videos.

Three videos? I only saw the 49 minute one. I would love to see the other two that you are speaking of. Somehow, I missed them (link, please).

They are at the bottom of the page. Three more related videos.

Thanks @Grizz for letting me know you posted this. I'll watch the video tonight.

Funny, I joined a conservative social media platform recently and just last night I posted the book Darryl wrote about Tommie "Mountain Medicine". I also posted the one you turned me on to by Duke University Press where Tommie comments on over 700 plant species. And Mrs Phyllis Light's book "Southern Folk Medicine". She was also a student of Tommie's and greatly influenced by him. I feel honored to know both Darryl and Phyllis personally. I've learned much from them, and by them, from Tommie.

For all our new members Grizz and I have posted some of the very best books available on medicinal plants and herbal medicine in existence. The list is located here...
