So, in Sweden, like the UK and Austrailia, it is illegal to defend oneself. I guess once you are a subject you have fewer rights than a plant.
You must be aware that even plants have ways to fight back against the bugs that attack them. God gave all creation the means of self defense. That is why the second amendment was put in place to remind government to protect that right and never let it be diminished. They talk about cancelling the 2nd amendment because they think that is where the right comes from. The right existed before the constitution and was listed after the constitution was accepted to remind government that the people's right to armed defense should never be infringed.
The government fears an armed populace, as well they should, but not because of the people's lawlessness but rather because of the governments lawlessness. Our guns can be turned against tyrannical government just as they were against the King. If the are not tyrannical they have nothing to fear. The action of restricting or removing our guns is the first sign of tyranny.

My wife is Norwegian. She doesn't plan on going back for a visit any time soon and has heard many horror stories about the middle Eastern invasion.

It is not unique to Sweden, nor to young men. Sweden is the rape capital of the world, and according to some statistics 77% of the rapes are committed by foreign men against Swedish women. The Swedish press is just as bad as ours when it comes to reporting the truth, and something that doesn't fit their narrative.
France, Germany, and Great Britain all have similar problems. Part of this is self imposed. Part has been brought on by the European Union ramming immigration down peoples' throats. They bring in immigrants who not only choose not to assimilate; they refuse to assimilate. They want to turn the new place into the cesspool they came from, and somehow think they have the right to do this.
