I think that was an interesting film. I know it very accurately described, from my perspective, how soldiers in combat create a unique bond with each other. It also sums up nicely some of my thoughts why I decided to “retire” early from my post-military career to this remote location. Even though my post-military career was wildly successful, those success (other than financially) were completely meaningless to me. From the analogy in the film, apparently I was missing what I knew felt was real and that connectivity from my military perspective. Well, enough of this BS self reflection...
Great little film well worth the 15 minutes. Some great insights. Perhaps there is hope left in modern journalism, or at least for the journalist that made this film. He gets it.
