pay attention at about 7 minute mark in kitchen storage area of what was the most valuable item they had and it had a lock on it...also in living room look at the giant metal stove in left of screen.its some type of rocket stove. the kitchen has one of the giant brick ovens and he shows the place/shelf made on top where people would crawl up on to sleep and rest or just get extra warm...this is survival in the cold climate.hope you enjoy.

p.s. be sure and listen to what he says in english at end of video....its not just us here in u.s. losing things to time and modernization.

Great video! I appreciate the tools and building concepts that take into account the environment and way of life. Their mill was wood, but the mortar and pestle (pounder? is that what they called it) were metal. Also interesting was that they had two wells. And as a side note, I liked that they had so much color inside the home. Long winters, it was probably more cheerful.

The wooden grain mill was fitted with mill stones at the adjoining faces.
