I have a big tulip poplar that’s blooming this week (Liriodendron tulipifera). A good medicine tree. It’s one of the better tree barks that can be used for arthritis and rheumatism. Also good for someone who’s run down with no appetite. It’ll definitely perk up one’s appetite. Make a tea from the inner bark but only take 3 or 4 teaspoons a day.

Think of it as a gentle Magnolia. Its in the magnolia family. All the magnolias can be used but are harsher than tulip poplar.
