Been gorgeous here the past week. Snowed in the mountains all around the valley. Temps in the 50s-60s (highs). Hoping for a slow spring and linger gently into summer rather than the kick in the teeth we got last year.

90 on the sign at the bank in town this afternoon. Town always feels a couple degrees warmer that out here.
Supposed to be sunny the next 3 days, temps about the same. Tonight the weatherman on tv looks bored.

Too hot for me
I wasn't ready! hacking down volunteer saplings, ripping out things that aren't blooming and suddenly I realize is 90 flippin degrees in the shade, and it's MAY.100's here next week, I am ready!!☀

By august I will be acclimated, this is only a week past the last hard frost date

It sure looked like it to me.
It was 70 deg at my place when I left, got up north - and its 10 degrees colder. I am so ready for the warmer weather!
Last Friday there were 2 tornados that touched down in the area where I park my RV, a block away. Our trailer shifted off the supports, but everything else is ok. Thankfully I wasn't here when that happened, probably would've hightailed it outta here and spent the night at the hospital!

After cooling off from noon heat a bit, it was down to 93°. Too hot for me. I was sweating like crazy even indoors. I know it gets hotter but sheesh. With the humidity it is much worse.
I'd rather have 105° and dry than 90° and humid!!
80s again and all thru the weekend
Sun is just rising over the hill to our east. The wheat field is sparkling like a field of diamonds after yesterday's rain which lasted through half the night - beautiful!

We have had 4 or 5 beautiful above average temperature days in a row. I have been able to do lots of planting, mulching, weeding and now watering.
I love Summer, but love a rain at night so I don't have to water. God's water is always best.

We got a surprise backwards rainstorm today. (From the east instead of the southwest, like it's supposed to be)
Even my joints (which are never wrong about warning me) were caught off guard.
Temp dropped from a comfortable 88° to a chilly 71° in only an hour.

We hit 82. Then this evening had showers blow in...from the east. Our's is usually from southwest or northwest. Just enough I couldn't start tilling tonight. UGH
