It's feeling like winter here this morning. Was 8 degrees out.

Ok, it's not Minnesota, but a winter storm watch is in effect for north and north central Texas for the next few days! Ice storm!! I'm ready!

I'm sitting with the electric lap throw on my lap now! My morning dogs are cancelled for the next two days. My afternoon Aussie, I'm not sure about yet.

High temp was 11 degs today. Now that the sun has gone down the temperature is dropping fast. The wind has been blowing since last night. Our road has drifted over in places. May have to get the snowblower out tomorrow and clear the road.

Thunderstorms and tons of rain. Road was flooded. The rain let up briefly when I went out to my truck and then was only drizzling a bit on the way home. Sky opened up when I was about to get out of my truck though.

Took this video of my flooded road. Started about halfway down the little road and almost to my front gate. At least I got an undercarriage wash. And the rain washed away the peeled paint.

Been raining for 3 days, over 3" in the gauge. Sun poked out a couple times here or there but overall it's been damp and cold.

More rain tomorrow, and, and... Rain everyday for the next 10. Average chance of rain is 46%.

We are getting freezing rain now, and the temps are not supposed to get above freezing until Wednesday. They are predicting more ice tomorrow, so we are hunkering down again.

No rain, FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET! We got an UPGRADE, now a WINTER STORM WARNING!! Today through Wednesday, I'm betting ice Thursday morning too!! Power outages and horrific travel!! Chainsaws are ready for all the broken tree limbs!! Hoping the giant Hackberry close to the back of the house makes out ok!

It has started up over here with sleet, pouring sleet. Thunder. Went to the store awhile ago, not too busy. Still in the high 20s. Got some bird food finally, the birds got to it within 10 minutes. This is going to be a mess. Heading y’all’s way…

At noon the weather man said the ice storm will stay northwest of me. Hope it does, not that worried about ice though. The ground is so warm it'd melt quickly.

You folks in the ice be careful and stay warm.

around 5 degrees with a gentle breeze here on the sunny side of the rocky mountains. Ice fishing is coming on strong with lots of ice to set up your heated fishing shack on. The thougt of having to go ice fishing for food is why I have long term food storage.

It was 61°F after 1am when Mom got out of the ER last night. I had taken off my cardigan to lay over her because she was cold in the hospital and she wanted to wear it out to the truck. They had her take her sweater off and she had difficulty getting it over her head so I figured the cardigan would be more comfortable and helped her put it on. I was wearing a spaghetti strap shirt since they are easy to get on and off with my bum shoulder. I didn't even feel cold outside. It actually got colder by 9am though.

The ice storm gets worse tomorrow morning. I'll get up extra early (I get up at 4am normally) to get Bear out and get the outside kitties fed before the heavy stuff starts (hopefully)!! Updates tomorrow morning.............

Ugh. 8 degrees out, dropping down another 2 in the next hr. Not getting the temps up much at all today. Got the fire roaring again. There is lots of frozen water buckets out there calling my name today.

Woke up to 4 degrees and at least an inch of new snow. Currently 20 degrees and the predicted high is to be 29 degrees.
We need the moisture. The mountains need the moisture to help refill the water reservoirs. We are just not used to the layers of snow on layers of ice. We usually lose it all before the next round comes along.
