Weather...
Onion skins very thin
Mild winter coming in
Onion skins thick and tough
Coming winter will be rough
Flowers blooming in late Autumn
A sure sign bad winter is coming
As high as the weeds grow,
So will be banks of snow
Thunder in the Fall fortells a cold winter
A warm November is a sign of a bad winter

Sunny, blue skies, high 70s low in the high 40s and low 50s.
The trees are starting to turn so fall is here and right on time. By the middle of October we should be getting rain so that will bring the water table up a bit for next year. If we get a good mountain snow pack it will be great for the water table.

We can exspect out first highs in the 70s next week, finally.Nights are already diping down into 60s.

75 degrees now, predicted to be the high for today. 42 predicted for tonight.

Last year at this time, it had already been cold, and we had snow in October. Still wearing short sleeves.

Its still very humid now, lots of moisture in the air, sickening so. Stepped out this A/M and it was humid.

55 and sunny. Picked a few more tomatoes and peppers from my son's garden this morning. Beautiful!

Rain Sat,Sun,Monday too.
At least the tree cutting will get water.

I wish it would rain here. It has been so dry that the leaves didn't really turn any pretty colors, just turned brown and fell off. Long way to go for all the leaves falling.
In the 50s at night, altho it's 49 right now. High today will be 84. Humidity 77%. Sunny.

My digs are in full autumn. Temps swinging from highs in the low 70s and lows in the low to mid 40s. In another week I expect lows to dip into the 30s and highs no more than high 40s and low 60s.
We've been getting rain, the gentle rain that is common this time of year, and it won't be long before we get our semi-annual 2 weeks of fog.

Chance of snow by this weekend. Yeah!!!

What is funny, all those folks that scurried like rats off a ship to move here from California, Washington, New York and other places because of covid are in for a surprise.

You just get that feeling that we are going to have a colder winter than the past few years. Some will die from the cold when their car breaks down and they are not prepared to wait hours.

My thermals and baffins go in the truck today.

Then you will see them scurry away like seals on the ice pack when a polar bear shows up and head for warmer waters.

It is a cycle that never stops 3 to 5 years is average here. They move in during the mild winters and then BAM, mother nature sends them to their room.

This was the last day expected to get over 70 for a while. I wasn't perfect because we had 30 to 40 mph winds gusting from westerly to southerly.
I did manage to get out and enjoy it.
