Can you have a true "Survival Situation" without imminent risk of death....???

Your plane crashes in a forest. You survive with relatively few injuries. The plane can't be seen from the air. You are on an uninhabited island. Your radio is toast but your survival gear is intact.

No risk of imminent death but you better get busy, you are in a survival situation.

Just doing a fast count of things I can say that I have been in about 20+ survival situations. Everything from an engine failure in an aircraft that I was flying alone and landed in a tree 30 miles in the middle of swamp, onset of hypothermia while camping with no way out until picked up in 7 days, broken leg while in a forested combat situation to a poisonous snake bite 15 miles into the bush. All had an element of death if I did not react decisively. In some, the decision was not something that had to happen in the exact moment the situation started but was a calculated decision over days.
