So our dear friends that live about a 1/4 mile down the road often bring us things, things she's cooked, vegetables she's grown, watermelon she got from her daughters garden, all very good, on the other hand while her husband was walking around outside a timber rattler slithered by with one small button, he put it in a jar and brought it over, 8" TO 10" long, I'd guess it's about two weeks old. My warning to him, where there's one there may be more and don't wear flip-flops while you're out and about. Oh and another thing, it's enough to give me nightmares and I'm pretty much used to these creatures being around, I've upped my alert level, as it is, I've been expecting to see rattlers due to all the hot weather we've been having.
I'll stick to the Garter snakes I find in the yard every now and then.
