Round 1 of today is that we got ready and went to town for DH's doctors appointment and they sent him for a ultrasound on a cyst behind his ear to see what it was and will send the results to the doctor, and he had his annual flu vaccination. We then went to the pharmacy and topped up on 4 x 100 pkts of paracetamol and some shave sticks for DH.

Over to the hardware store where we picked up 10 x 4.0 pkts of wool insulation batts that cover 12.1 square metres per pack to insulate our ceiling cavity with. Came home and unpacked the insulation batts into the meat shed. About to date and put away all our groceries we purchased.

Yesterday, I took it real easy. No exercise, no cooking, just Church twice.

Today, walked, then went to thrift shops and then Walmart for a few things, mainly surge protector so I can plug in the new treadmill. Doing laundry now and will make more veggie and egg muffins in a little bit, as well as Olive Garden chicken in the Instant pot. That should be plenty for today.

Accomplish zip on my to do. List. Dog tore open a paw pad near a front dew claw. Almost 4 hours return trip driving to nearby city for emergency surgery. Most stores I would normally shop at closed for the long weekend. Waited around several hours. Total time spent nearly eight hours, $800 in vet bills, used half tank of gas. Oh well tomorrow I will start on today’s list. The plus is that while she will limp for a few days, dog will be fine.

it's 90 degrees here . we spent the day vacuum sealing various cookies and crackers. also did some pasta. separated bacon and pork chops into meals for us' also canned another 7 quarts of squash and put 2 quarts in the freezer.

My computer crashed big time so I am using DH's old one with a dud battery in it so will be intermittently on until I get my new computer. Nothing has worked on the beast so I think it is the hard drive that has given way so cheaper to purchase a new one.

So far today we have dug another 6 garden beds and I have laid composted grass clippings and or weed mat to them and we have removed the soil from them all. I have put on a loaf of bread in the bread making machine and it is finished and I watered a fruit tree, the canna lilies, and spider and calla lilies with the grey water pumped from the grey water tank.

Going to check to see what laptops are on eBay to see if they are cheaper than the ones in the local shops here. Good news is I found a laptop $370 odd dollars cheaper than the local stores here and purchased it.

Tonight's dinner will be tinned harvest meat and vegetables on a bed of rice.

Getting morning chores done. Husband gets try #2 at getting his catheter out today. Hopefully we won't be rushing back in tomorrow with problems, like last week. The twins have 8 th grade celebration this afternoon, and a dance to follow. It's being called a celebration, and not a graduation because most don't have the grades to graduate. That doesn't mean that they are being held back, no one is held back anymore here. Was very irritated that yesterday's school day was signing yearbook day and playing on electronic devices day. The yearbooks won't be in till tomorrow when the 8th graders have already "celebrated". At $20 x 2 kids, I am irritated. They are offering for the kids to come to the school for an hour tomorrow, from 1:00 to 2:15 to pick up their yearbook and sign with friends. I have to be at work tomorrow.
For a "celebration" gift, the twins get to pick what takeout they want tonight. Wendy's it is.

Yesterday was busy day.
Today not so much.
Did up 2 loads of laundry, washed, dried and put away.
Made big pot of vegetable soup simmering on stove all day.
Put the leftovers in 4 quart crockpot last night before bed.
Been raining for several days.
Had no water due to two breaks in the waterline for several days.
Sipping coffee, reading forums today.
Electricity flickered several times already this morning.
Finally got Strawberry to go outside and take care of her business in between rain showers.
She doesn't like to get her back feet wet, so one foot is in the air at all times while taking care of business.
Cleaned grand daughter clothes out, she will need some more she's hit another growing spurt,
So the 12-18 months clothes, and 24 months-2T's will go to my great niece this weekend.
So far have gathered up about 2 13 gallon trashbags of clothes for her from this clearing out.
At my house she has about 6-10 interchangeable outfits of 3 T's.
Adjustable waist band jeans and shorts are wonderful.
Think today will get rid of clothes I haven't worn in 6 months to year for various reasons.
Everybody have a nice morning, afternoon, evening, day, or night.
Stay dry if you can.

Survived 8th grade graduation. There was a dance afterwards and the twins half sister crashed it with two of her male friends (19 years old?) Mom's in jail, so she didn't show, thankfully. The sis and her buddies were being escorted out of the middle school and caused a scene involving a security officer and the principle. Granddaughter was horrified and in tears. All her friends saw. They did enjoy Wendy's, though.

Did second load of laundry and made chicken in instant pot this morning along with broccoli and riced cauliflower. Took lunch to an older shut in and then went to Church function. Still figuring out programs on treadmill--keeps taking off on me. I have to learn how to change that program. Then weeded garden and transplanted some Creole tomato plants. Good day!
