When did it become OK to wear a hat inside?

It’s a cultural/regional thing, some places hats or caps are often worn inside. I pastored a cowboy church for more than a decade and hats came off for prayer, a dead body or a bride. I attended other cowboy churches where hats were never worn inside. I have eaten with truckers and other blue collar workers who never removed their caps and been in other situations where caps were not worn inside. I know that in some areas to leave your head covered indoors would be considered very rude and in others where is the norm.

I wear a ballcap all year round. They make one to fit all situations! Except church.

My favorite hat is the one not on my head. because I don't do hats. It messes up my doo!

I have a Foss Maritime ballcap that's been my favorite, sadly it's wearing out. I like it because it reminds me of Seattle and Puget Sound where I remember seeing Foss tugboats, I think I would have liked to have worked on a tug.
