Who has a working sewing machine?

Who has a working sewing machine but does not use it much? or have one and does use it but not for clothing?

Trying to see what equipment is out there.

I have a $99 Brother machine that gets used when dh pushes me to fix something for him. I can sew, just don't like to at all. Would rather be canning by a million times!

I have a Singer, a Brother, and a Bernina, all electric. I also have a treadle that was my grandmothers.

We have one but it has been so long since I seen it I forgot what make it is. Me and bobbins don't get along too well. I'd rather sew by hand what little sewing I do.

One treadle Singer and a Singer electric portable. Spare belt and needles for my treadle and I guess the same for her Singer but neither has been used for years. I don't know much about sewing and the wife doesn't like sewing though she would do it at gun point.

I almost forgot the small hand crank Singer for doll clothes.

My wife has one and we have my Mom's upholstery machine.
Never use either one. They just sit in my shop taking up valuable floor space.

I have 5, the oldest was 1937 Singer, I bought a few years back.
My DW can make clothes, but I am just a mender.

I have an old Brother. Received as a graduation/birthday gift after high school. It's been used over the years. Also received my MILs old Singer but it's missing some parts right now. Think it's the bobbin holder maybe. . . It's been awhile since I've taken a look at it, but other than thst, it runs.

Brother runway model that I use weekly.
Singer Serger that I have used once, so will be selling this soon.
Several Singer toy machines that I teach my great nieces, and nephews to do basic sewing techinques.

My grandmother had a treadle Singer. I remember watching her sew with it. Shame... It got destroyed by the tornado in '74, part of the chimney crushed it. She was so upset... She didn't care much about the house but that sewing machine meant the world to her.

Most sewing machine motors take very little electric power so they could be run off a relatively small power inverter and a car battery.

I have an old treadle machine but have no idea how to use it. My Grandmother had one and she sewed all the time with it.

I have a Bernina that I use once a year or so. Occasionally for mending, but every year or two I do a real project and make curtains, or stuff for the dogs, or comfy fleece house pants that will be long enough (off the rack are always too short).

I have a standard Singer, about 35 years old, I bought new. It still works just fine. I've used it for curtains and other household projects, as well as clothing. Also used it to sew a gear shifter cover for a car.
