More details will be helpful in getting an answer. Wool is shaved from sheep, and is called a fleece. Would the person be starting with a fleece? Wool comes in a few forms. I could ask lots more questions about what you have in mind, but I'll let you give more information. It is your project.

I just checked and they don't currently make the one I have. My "Sleeping Indian" brand wool vest with hood, is as good as any of my Filson clothing and Filson packs and bags.
